Storage of Personal Data

We have created this Privacy Policy (version 30.05.2018-21061105) to explain to you, in accordance with the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which information we collect, how we use data, and what choices you have as a visitor to this website.

Unfortunately, by nature, these explanations can sound very technical. However, we have made every effort to describe the most important points as clearly and simply as possible.

Automatic Data Storage
When you visit websites today, certain information is automatically generated and stored, including on this website.

When you visit our website, as you are doing now, our web server (the computer on which this website is hosted) automatically stores data such as:

  • The address (URL) of the accessed webpage
  • Browser and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • The address (URL) of the previously visited page (referrer URL)
  • The hostname and IP address of the device from which access is made
  • Date and time

As a rule, web server log files are stored for two weeks and then automatically deleted. We do not share this data, but we cannot exclude the possibility that it may be accessed in cases of illegal activity.

Storage of Personal Data
Personal data that you provide to us electronically on this website, such as your name, email address, address, or other personal information submitted via forms or blog comments, will only be used by us for the purpose stated at the time of submission. These data are securely stored and not shared with third parties.

We use your personal data only for communication with visitors who explicitly wish to contact us and for the processing of the services and products offered on this website. We do not share your personal data without your consent, but we cannot rule out that such data may be accessed in cases of unlawful conduct.

If you send personal data to us by email — i.e., outside this website — we cannot guarantee secure transmission or protection of your data. We recommend that you never transmit confidential information by unencrypted email.

Rights under the GDPR
Under the GDPR and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG), you generally have the following rights:

  • Right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) (Article 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)
  • Right to notification – obligation to inform in connection with rectification, erasure of personal data, or restriction of processing (Article 19 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object (Article 21 GDPR)
  • Right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing — including profiling (Article 22 GDPR)

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have otherwise been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which in Austria is the Data Protection Authority. You can find their website at https://www.dsb.gv.at/.

TLS Encryption with HTTPS
We use HTTPS to transmit data securely over the internet. By using TLS (Transport Layer Security), an encryption protocol for secure data transmission online, we can ensure the protection of confidential data. You can recognize the use of this data transfer security by the small padlock icon in the upper-left corner of your browser and the use of the HTTPS scheme as part of our website address.

Google Maps Privacy Policy
We use Google Maps from Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) on our website.

By using the functions of this map, data is transmitted to Google. You can read about which data is collected by Google and how it is used at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/.
